ST. LOUIS – Fire crews rescued at least one dog from a house fire Saturday evening in north St. Louis.

The blaze developed at a vacant home in the 2000 block of Angelica Street. Investigators with the St. Louis Fire Department believe two dogs and a litter of puppies were using the building before the fire began.

Fire crews helped rescue and revive at least one dog, sharing video of the response via Twitter.

It’s unclear when or how the fire began. Investigators have not reported any other injuries to animals or people at this time.
