ILLINOIS — The NAACP is asking voters to vote “no” on Amendment 3 on election day.

They said that legalizing marijuana would not make the industry more diverse. The “Legal Missouri 22” campaign put the question on the ballot.

If the amendment is approved, 144 small marijuana businesses will be awarded to historically disadvantaged populations, the campaign said.

But the Missouri NAACP says that is not guaranteed.
