ST. LOUIS – A Missouri teacher who was suspended for maintaining an OnlyFans page has now resigned. According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, high school English teacher Brianna Coppage, 28, has “decided to move in a different direction.” St. Clair Superintendent Kyle Kruse stated that she was not asked to resign.
St. Clair is located about 55 miles southwest of St. Louis, and the high school has approximately 750 students.
Coppage tells the Associated Press that she joined the OnlyFans website over the summer to supplement her salary as a second-year teacher. She taught English to freshmen and sophomores, earning about $42,000 last year, according to the newspaper’s public pay database. She mentioned that she’s been making an additional $8,000 to $10,000 per month performing on OnlyFans.
She chose the platform because its content is available only to subscribers, and she believed it would help protect her identity. She claimed not to know how the district discovered her account and insisted that no content was filmed or posted while she was on school grounds.
Coppage said, “I’m aware that I may never teach again, but that was the risk I knew I was taking. I’m sad about that, and I miss my students.”
However, Coppage mentioned that her OnlyFans account gained about 100 new subscribers since word began to spread. She has more than doubled her subscription price and intends to continue posting on the site.
“I don’t regret joining OnlyFans. I know it can be considered taboo, and some may find it shameful, but I don’t think sex work has to be shameful,” Coppage concluded. “I just wish things had happened differently.”
