ST. LOUIS – St. Louis aldermen are set to introduce more gun control bills at their meeting Friday.

The bills would create the offenses of “unlawful possession of firearms” and “unlawful transfer of weapons.” The bills grew out of recent situations where young people were seen openly carrying firearms downtown.

St. Louis had only 2 officers for an entire district – Both called in sick

Last week, aldermen introduced an ordinance to prohibit the open carrying of firearms without a concealed-carry permit.
