ST. LOUIS –  An apartment building was damaged after an overnight house fire in the Dutchtown neighborhood of south St. Louis.

Firefighters rescued one person from the second floor of the building on Osage Street at South Compton Avenue. Investigators shared that the fire started in the kitchen of a first floor apartment. No one was injured.
