KASKASKIA, Ill. – Tuesday is the 300th anniversary of the Illinois National Guard. It dates back to 1723, when the Illinois militia first mustered at Kaskaskia, Illinois.
The French marines will be part of a commemorative celebration at 5:30 p.m. in Kaskaskia.
